and Heat Recovery of Organic Waste Gas from a Coater

Preface

It is time to effectively solve the problems of environment pollution and resource shortage.
In order to go with the times' tide and promote the sustainable economic development, Shantou Far East Light Industry and Chemical Industry Equipment Co., Ltd. manufactured successfully a complete equipment for Thermal Oxidation and Heat Recovery of organic waste gas from a coater (TOHR). The equipment has the advantages of energy saving, efficiency improvement, emission reduction and environmental protection, which can reduce production costs greatly for the enterprises in the packaging and coating industry.
After the treatment, the emission index of VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) of organic waste gas can fully satisfy the national requirements (GB 162971996 The Standard of Atmospheric Pollutant Emission).
Basic Principle of Working
The working principle of a complete equipment for Thermal Oxidation and Heat Recovery of organic waste gas from a coater (TOHR) is to heat the waste gas to 800 approx.; the hydrocarbon in the waste gas has an oxidation reaction at the high temperature, to become CO2 (carbon dioxide) and H2O (water), and then to be emitted to atmosphere. As designed, the thermal efficiency of TOHR can be up to 95 or more, and the elimination rate of VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) in the waste gas can be more than 97%.
Because the complete equipment (TOHR) has a ceramic packed-bed heat exchanger with the heat recovery rate of above 95%, only a little fuel consumption is required in the process of waste gas treatment. (When the concentration of VOC is more than 450ppm, the treatment of waste gas can keep the equipment operating normally without auxiliary fuel, except for startup of the equipment.) When the concentration of waste gas is higher, the redundant heat of the VOC oxidation can be recovered by TOHR. Through a heat medium such as heat-conducting oil or steam, the recovered heat can be used for heating of the oven on the coater. Also the redundant heat can be used directly for heating of the fresh air for the oven. For most of the solvents in coating materials, if the concentration of VOC in the waste gas is controlled properly, the redundant heat recovered by TOHR can meet the heat demands of the oven drying.
